Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, he is dedicated to providing compassionate, advanced care, ensuring every woman feels understood and empowered in her health decisions.
Dr. Mateo is a pioneer in advanced gynecological operative laparoscopy, having been one of the founders of a Robotic laparoscopic program in 2008. His extensive experience ensures you receive cutting-edge care with a focus on minimally invasive solutions when appropriate.
Currently, Dr. Mateo enjoys serving as a traveling OB/GYN hospitalist in various locations throughout Florida, showcasing his dedication to providing care wherever it’s needed. When he’s not in the clinic, he cherishes time with his family, often found offshore fishing, golfing, and exploring new destinations together.
